peek-a-poo

i'm so impatient that i very rarely make initial sketches before i start actually drawing. this is a good example of this because as you can see, it started off as just random lines and lines and lines, which turned into trees, and so on. the problem with not planning what i'm going to draw is that the composition is sometimes abit too weird, cluttered or what not, but i'm well happy with this bad boy. on a different note, i had all my glorious hair cut off today after my missus ruined it last night (since when is 3 inches a trim?!) so i'm going to go sulk in a dark corner and mourn xo

this charming man

this is an old favourite of mine. it's fairly bare and straight forward but i like the texture of the chap's face and cloak, and i'm quietly quite proud of the hand cut words. it's been brought to my attention that some of my poems can be abit on the miserable side, i guess that's only natural as one gets older and more miserable. blame The Smiths. i like to consider them one of my biggest influences because in my work you'll find either humour with undertones of darkness, or darkness with undertones of humour. i know that whenever i listen to Girlfriend in a Coma, i can't help but have a little chuckle to myself. that's what i try and go for. xo
